Terms of use
Last updated 24 September 2026
These terms apply when you use DCU Timetable, an app built and run by Stephen Harcourt. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by Dublin City University. Creating an account means you agree to them.
Who can use it
The app is for DCU students. You need a DCU email address that you control. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
What you may post
Deadlines and class reports are seen by other students on your modules. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post anything that:
- is abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexual or violent;
- names, targets or reveals personal information about anyone;
- is spam, advertising, or deliberately false, such as a made-up deadline or a class reported cancelled when it wasn't;
- breaks the law or DCU's student code of conduct.
Reporting and moderation
Every deadline has a menu with Report and "Hide posts from this person". Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed. The account that posted it may be banned, temporarily or permanently. A deadline reported by several students is hidden until it has been reviewed.
Accuracy
Timetables come from DCU's published timetable. Deadlines and reports come from other students. Any of them can be wrong or out of date, so for anything that matters, such as exams and submission dates, check with DCU, your lecturer or Loop.
Ending your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time. An account that breaks these terms may be suspended or closed.
Liability
The app is provided free and as it is. As far as the law allows, I am not liable for loss arising from using it, including a missed class or deadline. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Irish or EU consumer law.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Ireland.
